Internships

We are a small but growing House of Prayer (HOP) and ran our first internship in the summer of 2017. We are planning to start our next internship in 2020.

If any of these apply to you and you would like to join us, please fill out an application form.

Duration

There are two types of internship, the School, which is one day a week over three terms, and a more intensive full-time internship the Joshua Programme.

HOP School will consist of 3 terms Spring, Summer and Autumn. Each term will be 8 consecutive Tuesdays. Agreeing to a place on the School would be agreeing to attend each School session except for exceptional circumstances such as sickness or family crisis.

The school day will 9am - 5pm, including an hour for lunch and breaks for coffee.

The next HOP School will start in February 2020. Dates for the 2020 school will be as follows:

Spring Term:  February 4th - March 24th

Summer Term:  May 5th - June 23rd

Autumn Term:  September 1st - October 20th

There may be some set reading and supplementary study for the breaks in between terms.

The Joshua Programme would consist of 2 parts:

Part 1 - 3 months of focussed teaching, training   and participation in the house of prayer.

Part 2 - 3 months serving in the HOP alongside   the full-time and part-time intercessory   missionaries and the community volunteers.

The next Joshua Programme will not start before Autumn 2020.

Requirements

You will need to fill out an application form which will include 2 references, one of which should be from a leader in your local church.

You will need to be at least 18 at the start of the internship; there is no upper age limit.

For the School There will be a small charge of £10 per term towards costs and materials. We strongly encourage you to have a team of people supporting you in prayer.

For the Joshua Programme there will be a small charge of £50 towards internship costs and materials. No one in the hop is paid, so interns are expected to raise their own support, both financial, and (not unimportantly) in prayer. Interns will ,therefore, have to provide for their own living expenses, including accommodation as unfortunately we are currently unable to provide the latter.
